Bella Tromba met in 2004 at the Royal Academy of Music whilst studying for Postgraduates.
Their aim was to form a
versatile ensemble with a repertoire to show
the full spectrum of colours that the trumpet
has to offer - from light jazz through to popular
melodies and serious classical repertoire to
cutting edge contemporary works.
They have performed with many of the country's leading orchestras, including the Royal Opera House and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, and won a place on the "Live Music Now Youth Music Fellowship" scheme.
The Brass Herald magazine and Muso have run features on Bella Tromba and BBC Radio 3's programme "In Tune" has included the group in several live broadcasts. As a female trumpet quartet Bella Tromba is unique within the industry, and their innovative approach has won plaudits from across the brass world.
