One of the world's greatest early music specialists, soprano Dame Emma Kirkby is tonight joined by one of Britain's most outstanding period instrumental ensembles - Florilegium.
Since its formation in 1991, Florilegium has
established a reputation for stylish and exciting
interpretations of music from the baroque era to
the early romantic revolution. Florilegium often
work with some of the world's finest musicians
and tonight is no exception!
In 1999 Dame Emma was voted Artist of the Year
by Classic FM radio listeners, in November 2000
she received the Order of the British Empire and
just this year she was made a DBE in the Queen's
Birthday Honours.
